| February 13, 2009 New Baby My new baby has arrived. The long arm room was the first room completed in the shop. I have been training and have completed 5 quilts. Once the tension in the bobbin is correct, you can really fly with this baby. It has been great to be working in the shop while all the renovation is going on. Most rooms are completely painted and all the lighting has been installed! The wood for the fixtures is being cut all at once and they will be assembled next week. The new exterior doors will be painted and installed next week as well. We have an architect designing the front porch. It will be handicap accessible. There will be lots of room to hang quilts and keep customers out of the weather. Of course it will be historically accurate as well. We have had a set back with the sign. It is larger than the zoning laws allow by 3 square feet. We will have to have a smaller one made. Oh well, don't sweat the small stuff.    |
