"Big Fork Cotton Company" is sending a Trunk Show of their latest Winter/Holiday, fusible applique wall hangings. Take a look at these kits! They are very easy to make, even though they look intricate! Our last Trunk Show from "Bigfork" featured the "Chicken" and "Crow" series and customers loved them! Call the shop to order one of these new holiday kits, supply is limited. Our July schedule of class is hot off the press. We are featuring Holiday projects. Start those holiday gifts early! Wednesday, July 7th, (2-4pm) Wool Mini Pennies $20 includes a kit fee. Bring small sharp scissors and an embroidery needle. If you've always wanted to try wool applique, this is the class for you! Level-Beginner* (Children, 11 years old and up must be accompanied by an adult, you will be charged only one fee)  Thursday, July 8th, (12:30-4:30) Shiva Paintstix on Fabric. Xmas or Fall Themed Quilt $15, Supply List. An Art Quilting Technique. Level- Advanced Beginner* Learn to use these oil paint sticks and rubbing plates to create fabulous quilt blocks!   Friday, July 9th (10:30-4:30) "Sew Easy Pineapple Table Runner " This is a technique class where you will learn a simple method to create these complex looking blocks. $25 Supply List. Level- Advanced Beginner  Saturday, July 10th (10:30am) $5 Club Sold Out "Finishing The Quilt " Finishing kits and instructions are $37 plus tax. Please call ahead to order so we can have one ready for you! Bring in all your finished blocks for a free gift. On August 14th we will have a big "Reveal". Bring in your finished tops and enjoy a Pizza Lunch on us! Sign up for the next $5 Club on this day. Saturday, July 10th, "Stash Pot Pie" (11:00am-4:00pm) -Use all your own scraps and precut your fabric to make a beautiful scrappy quilt. This month's design is called "Hot Pockets" It's made from flying geese units that look like pockets. Our snack will be Hand Pies, yummy! This is a monthly program. Sign up for 1 or more sessions. Price varies. Call for more info. 802-824-5700 Registration for our next $5 Club starts on August 14 at 11am. Space is limited. You pay only $5 for the 1st block. Bring that block back the next month finished, and you get another block for free. You are allowed 1 absence, you must attend all meetings or have a friend bring in your finished blocks. Technically you can make all 12 blocks, patterns and fabric included for $5. Finishing kits are sold separately. Our next $5 Club quilt is called "My Secret Garden" This is a foundation pieced quilt and is suitable for Advanced Beginners who have some paper piecing experience. Each month you will come into the shop and receive the pattern printed on foundation paper, fabric and instructions for a garden theme block. That's 12 blocks for $5! Wednesday, July 14th (1-4pm) "Fast Flying Geese" $15. Supply List. Level- Advanced beginner. This is a technique class. You will learn to use Deb Tucker's "Wing Clipper" tool to make these units fast and fun. No more cut off points!There are so many exciting quilt blocks that can be made with these units. Thursday, July 15th (1-4pm) "Shiva Paintstix and Stencils" $15. Supply List. Level- Beginner. Create your own fabric with oil stix and stencil techniques. Cut your "fabric" into blocks to create a unique art quil Friday's,July 16th,23rd,30th and August 6th. "My First Quilt" 4 sessions $105. Session I, on the 16th, is from (10:30-12:30) All other sessions are from (10:30-3:30pm). This is a beginner class. Students will learn rotary cutting, measuring and piecing skills, color theory and finishing techniques. (Children 11 yrs and up must be accompanied by an adult). We will complete a 4 block sampler wall hanging. Friday, July 16th, (1-4pm) "1 Million Pillow Case Challenge" Join us for this free sewing session. We provide the fabric and pattern. You sew! Take part in this Nationwide Challenge to make 1 million pillowcases in one year for charity. So far we have made 250 pillowcases at the Waterwheel House Quilt Shop! Saturday, July 17th (10:30-3:30). "Log Cabin Wreath" $15 plus a kit fee. This is a technique class. You will learn a variation of the log cabin block. Level-Advanced Beginner.  Thursday, July 22nd, (1-4pm) "Wool Xmas Stockings" $15 plus $20 Kit Fee. Level-Beginner  Saturday, July 24th and 31st "Kwik Krazy Xmas Tree Skirt and 4 Stockings" Two sessions (10:30-4:30) $40 plus Supply List. Level- Advanced Beginner  Scrappy and Easy! Thursday, July 29th, (10:30-4:30) "Paper Pieced Xmas Tree" $25 Level- Advanced Beginner. Technique Class, Supply list.  Weekly Classes: Every Sunday, except July 4th is "Finishing School" with Instructor, (1-4pm) $15 Bring any sewing project in progress and get inspired to finish it! Every Tuesday, "Open Sewing" no instructor, (10:30-3:30) $5. Sew with friends and meet new ones. Call to reserve a sewing machine, For all day classes, bring a lunch, we have a microwave and fridge. We are also air conditioned! Sew in comfort! Some classes require you to purchase a kit. If a supply list is noted, you will bring or purchase needed materials for class. Any supplies and tools purchased at the shop for a class are %15 off. Intermediate and Advanced students are invited to take any class, have fun and learn something new! Remember, we are closed on July 4th and all Mondays.
