Quilts on the Porch, welcome visitors up the ramp to the shop. These are sample quilts, some are for sale.

Gracie's new buddy, Walter the Pug puppy. Nancy Terhune is his mommy. Thanks Nancy for taking these great pics last Saturday. Nancy and Walter will be back in town tomorrow for another quilt class at the shop. Can't wait!

Great Show


Our Booth at the Bennington Quilt Fest.

Whoo, trying to fit a whole store in a 10x12 foot space was a real challenge. The outcome was a miracle! We met a lot of quilters who have never been to the shop. I am looking forward to seeing them in the near future.

We are jammed packed with new merchandise for the Fall and Winter seasons. The best fabric, latest books and patterns and expert advice from our talented staff.

This Friday is the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge sewing event for September. Come and sew with us, this is free and we provide the kits You provide the labor! Waterwheel House Quilt Shop donates these finished pillowcases to area shelters. Please call to reserve a spot, 802-824-5700. This event is from 1 to 4pm. Refreshments and door prizes will be offered to all participants.

This Saturday is our "Holiday Wreath" Class. This is a beautiful intrerpretation of a Christmas Wreath by Jason Yenter, from "In The Beginning Fabrics" This is not your "Granny's" log cabin wreath! Join us from 10:30am to 3:30 pm to piece this gorgeous Holiday Project available in 2 colorways, blue and green or red and green. Check out our August 2010 archive entry on this site to view the wreath and our other classes for this Fall. This is easy peasy.

Mona B's Grand-daughters whipped up these Bella Bags in a day! They are the next generation of sewers! Way to sew girls!

Meghan made this outrageous wool scarf from a new pattern we have in the shop.

























Too, too cute! Meg is our newest employee and specializes in garment sewing, wool and felt crafts and more. Her Mom was a seamstress. She is currently working on her first real quilt, "Cherri Fizz". I'm sure the results will be fantastic. We are so happy to have her on our staff at the Waterwheel House.

Judith wants me to tell everyone that we now carry a few wide backs for quilts. We have a traditional cream and 2 batiks, one dark blue and the other is earth tones.

Also just in are 39 bolts of solids from RJR. Solids? These are very sophisticated hues selected especially for our new Cherri House Patterns and her new book City Quilts. Check out her blog. We have the book and her patterns in stock! lizzyhouse.typepad.com/
