October 2010

October 24, 2010

Great weekend at the WWH. Last year was Mary K Ryan's last year of hosting a yearly quilting retreat in Shrewsbury Vermont. This year the group of 18 planned and executed their own retreat without Mary, but they stayed in the same B&B and had a wonderful stay. This was their second year of visiting the WWH Quilt Shop and they were so much fun! What a happy, upbeat group of quilters. They shopped out of their "Box" and had some fabulous show and tell. Can't wait to see them again next year.

A minor adjustment to our new Quilter's Challenge. Instead of just 2 1/2 inch squares, you may use 2 1/2 " strips cut to any dimension for your quilt. You can then use rectangles as well as the 2 1/2 inch squares. I think this will make the challenge more fun. You must still use just solid fabrics or fabrics that "read" as solid.
