February Fancies

Believe it or not, the snow is starting to melt! We have lots of February fun stuff to share...

Denyse Schmidt's newest line, Greenfield Hill fat quarter bundles are in stock.

Gypsy Bandanna from Michael Miller. Here are some of Kelly's improv mosaic blocks. Love it!

Meg whipped up this darling skirt using Camelot Cotton's "DayDreams" by Stephanie Brandenberg. What a great use for this fabric, but also think, art quilts! The pattern is a Kwik Sew/Kwik Start pattern #3794 now in stock. In the background is Camelot's huge flower panel "Poppy and Sunflower". Wow!

The Tammis Keefe Cats and Dogs fabrics are so wonderful. I made this quilt in the red and black colorway. This is an improv pattern. All royalties from the sale of her fabric lines go towards Cancer Research.

This quilt uses the new Tammis Keefe fabric in pink and gray and I think the "Posh Tot" pattern by Blue Underground looks great.

Spot the Dog fabric by Moda, from the story books is a great fabric for a quick unisex baby quilt!

Blue and Yellow

We have this table runner and placemat kit in 3 colorways of Kaffe Fassett's Teapots and coordinating prints. You get enough fabric, including backs and bindingfor one 14"x40" runner and 4 placemats. $50

Peach, Green and Blue

Purple, green,rust colorway.

Tired of tracing patterns onto freezer paper for applique? This new product goes through your inkjet printer...yippee! A step saver!

Another new product by Lesley Riley is "TAP" or Transfer Artist Paper. You can put this thru your printer and copy any image, photo or scan and then iron the image onto any surface, including fabric! What a boon for art and improv quilting.

Also in stock this month is the new "Quilts and More" from BHG. There are several projects in this magazine that uses fabric we have in the shop now.

We have selected fabric and made a kit for the owl wall hanging on the mag's cover.

Our fabrics are cuter!

Our new Hand Applique Club starts on Friday, February 25th from 1:30-3:30. Join us for an afternoon of uninteruppted hand sewing. Brush up and share techiques with other embroidery and applique enthusiasts. This club meets the last Friday afternoon of every month. Registration fee is $25 and you pay $10 for each session you attend. This is a chance to finish or start a hand sewing project. I will be working on this quilt from Piece O' Cake Designs.

I am determined to refine my needle turn applique skills!
