| September 03, 2013 September Snippets September is a big month for the Waterwheel House! It is the beginning of "Fall Foliage" season and we are getting lots of new fabric for our leaf peeping customers! Yes the leaves are starting to turn and we are expecting a gorgeous display of color this year. Here are some of our newest fabric arrivals.  "Tomorrow Morning" from Kona Bay Fabrics.  This is the large floral. The flowers measure about 5 inches across. Here are the companian prints...  All over bird print...  Green ...  Gray...  Taupe clouds...  Closely packed floral. There is a free pattern for these fabrics too! The large focus fabric is "fussy cut" into 18 1/2 inch squares that alternate with a simple four patch separated by sashing. The finished quilt measures 82"x102". A kit for the quilt is $130.00, not including the back. Just in... "Pearl Bracelets" by Lizzie House for Andover Fabrics...
 We have 14 colors with a couple back ordered. Here is my quilt top, using these fun prints. The pattern is by Allison Harris and "Cluck Cluck Sew", called "To The Point". She has an amazing technique for the triangle units...NO TEMPLATES! This is just the top, quilting will make the quilt!  This was fun! Here is "Studio Stash" by Jennifer Sampou for Robert Kaufman Fabrics. This is a blender line, printed in Japan. The colors are amazing! There are several prints that "read" tone on tone. This is the "Cinnamon, Eggplant ,Berry, Wine, Hibiscus, Pink, Lavendar,Mango, Coral,Salmon and Tangerine range.
  This is the Forest,Basil, Olive,Grass,Kiwi, Teal, Indigo,Azure, Blueberry, Pewter and Charcoal range...   Yummy! Here are the prints...  "Squiggles"  "Stitches" "Stripes and Rings "Daisies"  And "Etched Floral"  There are 36 total pieces. Want them all? The fat quarter bundle is $101.00. What a stash builder! We have big plans for this line!

"Secret Garden" and selected Kona solids. I used Atkinson Design's pattern "Urban Cabin".  "Honey Crisp" from "Dear Stella" Fabrics is a delightful fabric line. My sample uses "Swirly Girls" pattern "Perfect Ten" Loving these owls!  Last but not least...Our "Swoon" block for September. After this, only one block to go! Participants will be given a choice of fabrics for the back and binding in October.  That's it for now. Hope to see you soon!
