| April 02, 2016 April Snippets  Fabric selection for month #3 of Glorious Hexagons Block of the Month. If you are doing "Glorious Hexagons" on your own and would like this fabric bundle for month #3 just call the shop...802-824-5700. Here are the finished pieced hexies for April...  "My Small World" section #3 has been sent. Here is Judith's progress so far...  Participants are being treated to Judith's excellent supplementary instructions too! A few Bernina specials to mention...    The 3 sole walking foot #50 is also the foot of the month for April...   And our April machine promotion ... Feeling Taxed   We will be bringing all of our Bernina's to the Maple Leaf Quilt Show April 9th and 10th. Stop by and say hello! We will be showing off our new Q20 Sit Down Quilting Machine and Table!  Elegant and simple to operate, please come and give it a whirl! New fabric...Tula Pink "Chipper"  And from Dear Stella, "Rock Lobster"  And what a cute beach bag this fabric would make with one of our new tote bag patterns...  Kim Seymour owner of the Colonial House Inn, Weston Vermont has just become a certified "Tuffet Teacher"! We have been admiring all of the tuffet posts on social media and now we can have a Tuffet Workshop led by Kim this Summer and Fall.   We will be announcing the dates and particulars soon, so stay tuned. We are planning on workshops in July and another in Late October. Call the shop and leave your contact information if you would be interested in one of these workshop sessions. Space will be limited. Our Machine Embroidery Club meets on Friday, April 15th at 10 AM. Participants will be making a mini applique quilt in the hoop...  If you are interested in machine embroidery and don't have a machine yet, you are welcome to come as an observer! Just call the shop to reserve a seat. 802-824-5700 On the opposite side of the spectrum, we host English Paper Piecing (Hand Piecing) club on Saturday, April 16th at 10 AM.  No sewing machine needed! If you are curious about this craft come to the workshop on April 16th and Shelley will share lots of useful tips and tricks. Kits and Patterns are now available on the website for "Polka Dot & Plaid Picnic" the quilt Shelley designed for the Vermont Shop Hop 2016.  This makes a smashing summer quilt! That's all for now!
