| January 03, 2017 January 2017 Snippets Happy Quilting New Year! We love January because it the start of a new year of projects here at the Waterwheel House! Our Block of the Month programs for 2016 are winding down and we are introducing our new monthly programs for 2017.  This bed size quilt is Jen Kingwell's latest pattern. The booklet has just been released in the United States...YAY! This will be a 12 month program that we have yet to price. When we receive the pattern we will calculate the cost of fabrics needed per month and will then announce the price per month. The 1st month always includes the $28 booklet plus the fabrics for the 1st section. Subsequent months you will be charged for the fabric only. You can call the shop to sign up for this BOM and get the latest info regarding cost. There are lots of traditionally pieced blocks in this quilt, but our fabrics will be from our collections of the Industry's hottest designers. It will be scrappy! Our BOM #2 is  This is a more "literal" quilt with lots of fun piecing as well as some machine and hand applique. The 12 months will help you cultivate new skills and techniques. Create this heirloom quilt! Finished size is 75"x78 1/2". The cost of this BOM (months 2-12) will be $35. Month #1 will be $57 and includes the book (which will be discounted 20%). We will be using a mix of fabrics including, Kaffe Fassett, Andover Dimples, Kona Solids and much more! It will be exciting to create these 19 garden-themed quilt blocks and finishing . You will be surprised by our fabric selections each month! Here is my first block...Cosmos  The background will remain constant, "Spot" in Chalk by Kaffe Fassett. Call the shop to register.
