Dear Friends,

All Things must come to an end, it is said

Well, we're not ready to end just yet but we are ready to slow down.  Here’s our plan:

The building and property will go on the market in June and one way or another will be sold. It is our hope that a buyer will come and purchase the property as well as the quilt shop business.  If the buyer has other plans for the property we will offer the business for sale.

The business has three segments: Fabric/Notions and Online Market, Sewing Machine sales and service and Long Arm Quilting. If anybody is interested in taking over the entire business, either at its current location or somewhere else, we would love to talk and to lend our assistance and experience to help you succeed. Should that not happen we would be interested in letting go of the online market and long arm quilting as separate entities. Get in touch and let’s talk.

 Andrew intends to stay with the sewing machine repair and service segment - either as part of an ongoing business or out of our house in Londonderry, a short 8-minute drive from the store. All warrantees will continue to be honored.

Then there’s the long arm business. If anyone in the area is interested this is a rare opportunity. With over ten years of experience as a quilter/ sewing machine technician along with a pretty good following, a lot of experience teaching and a real love for the work it would be hard to get a better start than this.

Our social media platforms have over 5K followers.  We can offer these platforms as a means to start a new online business as Waterwheel House. This would mean the purchase of the store’s inventory of fabric and notions. Should this aspect of the business not be sold, Shelley will continue with the online store and inventory.

So, until that day when the property sells, one way or another, business will remain as usual. Our amazing staff will continue to serve your quilting needs, new fabric will continue to arrive, quilts will continue to be finished and sewing machines will continue to be serviced and repaired, all commitments will be honored. How different we will be after that day only time will tell, but whatever happens the adventure continues!
